In 1994, Steve Kessinger founded Silver Creek Engineering, Inc., a structural engineering firm based in Indianapolis, IN.  He brought 16 years of experience as a structural engineer to the firm.  Shortly afterward, Kevin Hazel joined the firm as an owner.  He brought 12 years of design and drafting experience.  For six years prior to forming Silver Creek Engineering, Steve and Kevin worked together, designing and detailing a variety of projects.

As principals, they continue to add qualified professionals to the Silver Creek Team in order to service clients with a variety of structural design needs. As Silver Creek began to grow, we expanded not only in employee size and client base, but also in the scope of services available.  Site/civil design services were added.  Professional licensing in additional states has allowed us to address the needs of clients who reside or conduct business outside Indiana. 

Silver Creek Engineering has experienced steady growth since its founding.  The cornerstone of this growth is the company's philosophy of listening to its clients' needs to tailor solutions specific for those needs.  Silver Creek recognizes that its continued growth depends upon the satisfaction of every client and strives to develop on-going relationships.
What's in a Name?

Sometimes it's symbolism.  Sometimes it's sentiment.  Sometimes it's history. 
And now and again, it's all three.

Pictured above is the bridge over Silver Creek that exists today in New Albany, Indiana.  Steve Kessinger, the company's founder, was looking at that bridge when he recognized his lifelong love of engineering for what it was and decided to make it his profession.
