Industrial

When a product is manufactured, there is a physical facility to be maintained.  If your product is a handknit sweater, then you certainly don't need an engineer to help you install yourself in a chair, operate the knitting needles, and safely store and retrieve your yarn supply.  However, if your manufacturing process is more complicated, you may find yourself needing the services of a structural engineer.  That is where we can help.

(Formerly Cook Pharmica Facility)

This project, known as the “Project Phoenix operation", won the 2007 Facility of the Year Award presented by the International Society of Pharmaceutical Engineers (ISPE), INTERPHEX, and Pharmaceutical Processing magazine.  Project Phoenix was the $70 million transformation of an abandoned RCA television factory into a biopharmaceutical contract manufacturing facility.  Silver Creek Engineering’s services included the design of all structures necessary to support walkable ceilings and mechanical units; new platforms for new mechanical units; pipe hangers, equipment pads, roof and floor penetration details; and new slab penetrations and pits.  By 2010, Cook Pharmica owned and occupied a 900,000 square foot facility with world-class development, cell culture manufacturing, parenteral manufacturing and secondary packing services in one location.  Silver Creek Engineering provided structural and site/civil services for Cook Pharmica beginning with the transformation of a discarded television factory into a world-class facility.  In 2017, Cook Pharmica was acquired by Catalent, Inc. and the Bloomington facility is now owned and operated by Catalent Biologics.
